Posted on April 9th, 2009 No commentsProfessor Rivest was given a homework assignment to review some of the submissions to the NIST SHA-3 Hash Function Competition with respect to the arguments made by the submitters about the security of their proposals. There was 11 teams and each of them has 4 submissions to review and compare. Shabal was in the group 0 (Cheetah – Shabal – SHAMATA – Blender). The students recommend Shabal:
